Wessex Colour Group – Wessex Trophy Competition

The Wessex Colour Group, Wessex Trophy Competition was held at the Corn Exchange, Dorchester on Monday evening.  Wareham Camera Club, having won last year, were the hosts.  Seven clubs participated and the images were judged by Sue Sibley.

17 images were held back, including Colin’s ‘Been Fishing’ and Glynis’ ‘Summerleaze Tidal Pool 2’ and ‘Orangutan’.  All three were awarded 10 points.

Dorchester Camera Club won with a score of 74 points and Blandford came in second with 71.5 points.

Sue was asked to choose her favourite 3 images which were

First – Migration, Tony Gill, Dorchester Camera Club

Second – The Card School, Val Duncan, Dorchester Camera Club

Third – Heron with Water Shrew, Ian Friend, Dorchester Camera Club

A raffle on the night in aid of the Dorset Air Ambulance raised over £100.00.

Dorchester will be hosting next year’s event which will be held on Monday, 29 October 2018.
