The Wessex Cup – Judge : Amanda Miller LRPS

A tense evening for all concerned, would the Ladies claim back the cup or would the Gents be victorious for a second year in a row?

With 8 monochrome prints, 8 colour prints and 8 pdi’s from each team to judge Amanda was set quite a task, she was pleased that there was a good range of subject.

Prints were up first, 5 top points of 10 were awarded and 4 scores of 9.5, the ladies were in the lead at half-time, but not by enough to ensure victory so the pdi’s were crucial to the final scores.

The top scores in the pdi’s were 2 10’s to the men and 2 to the women, so it really was down to the wire.

Final scores Ladies 215, Gents 210. The cup goes back to the Ladies camp for another year.

I have been a club member for several years now and find I learn something whichever club event I attend. I enjoy the Studio Group evenings, but equally am happy photographing whatever the surroundings provide at home and out and about.
