The SAPA 2008 Inter-club Print Battle
Oct 21st, 2008 by Malcolm Bowditch
On Monday 20th October, the work of seventy-two local photographers, representing twelve local clubs, was on display at Kinson Camera Club for the annual Stour and Avon Photographic Association’s annual inter-club print battle. It was a pleasure on this occasion to see Bill Aven, our judge for the evening, and his wife Margaret who are both good friends of BFCC. Bill was our judge for our annual exhibition in 2005 and both he and Margaret are regular contributors to the exhibition. It was an added bonus for us – the seven representatives of the club present – to hear him judge and to find Blandford, with 51½ points, to be the clear winner by a margin of two points from Bournemouth P.S. in second position, with Wimborne C.C. in third place just a point behind them. We also won a draw prize!

So sleepy old Blandford came top of the pile, ahead of all of those big towny clubs ……… and even better, we won a draw prize! I hope it was chocolate, I like chocolate!
Well done to all concerned and good luck for the Dorchester leg.
