Re ‘Growing old with Photography’ a comment (you need to have read Malcolm’s piece in the March newsletter for this to make sense)

Malcolm, you invite contribution to the hare you have raised…..
First let me say that, as a normally reliable reporter of club events, you appear to have lost your objectivity rather in these observations. In treading a careful path through your revelations about beta blockers, darts players and sex I am left with the clear impression that you include yourself in the category of ‘old’. I am sorry to have to tell you but you are badly mistaken; rather ‘well worn’ I grant you; maybe a little ragged round the edges, yes perhaps. Old no, definitely not!
I know an ‘oldie’ when I see one. They get in my way when I am trying to go somewhere, or get something done. They frequently just stand there, poor things, trying to work out which way to go; they also ramble in both senses of the word. Now in case you think I’m a silly, impatient individual and thoroughly intolerant, yes maybe, but I know they really can’t help it. Malcolm, do you recognise yourself in this description? No of course not. Now go and lie down in a dark room until you feel better and let’s not have any more of this nonsense.
Keith
