Amateur Photographer - Rights Watch
May 9th, 2010 by Keith Chaloner
As a part of the magazines on-going ‘Rights Watch’, relating to photography in public places, it has published a recommendation from a contributor that readers print out a copy of the Photography and Counter Terrorism Legislation from www.homeoffice.gov.uk and carry it with them when taking pictures in public places.
I have printed a copy and others may also feel it to be worth doing. It could save embarrassment - or worse!
As an aside, some members will have noticed advance notice of our Annual Exhibition in AP of 8th May under ‘Club News’.

That Link doesn’t work Malcolm ……………….. some nonsense about Theresa May as Home Secretary!
Colin
Sorry Colin but it would seem that, since my post on 09-05-10, this piece has been archived. Access can be gained by going to the above address, click on Counter-terrorism and then follow link to the archived version of the Home Office website. This takes you to a window that offers the viewer ‘See also Photography and counter-terrorism’ Click on that and you are there.
Failing that, I took a copy that can be photocopied. Same applies to any other interested member.
