Profile: Moving to Dorset in 2004 opened up both the time and opportunity to join the Camera Club the following year. The monthly competitions have encouraged me to be much more critical of my subject matter, and the talks have both taught new techniques, as well as new ways of looking at things. It has also meant I have made new friends, which is a bonus! My other interests include art and textiles (creative embroidery in particular) so this means I’m interested in photographing patterns, textures and the effect of light on colour, as well as the wonderful landscapes to be discovered on our doorstep.
