Profile: Joining Blandford Forum Camera Club in 2005 has given my long time hobby of photography a new stimulus. Having never been a member of a camera club before, my first year at BFCC was spent observing and learning from accomplished members as to what makes a successful image. Their photographs caused me to look more critically at my own ideas and approach to subject matter and camera technique. I have also found help from books by acclaimed photographers such as Joe Cornish, Guy Edwardes and Niall Benvie whose tips and inspirational pictures will, hopefully, rub off on me! And what do I like to photograph? Well, it has to be anything associated with the ‘great-outdoors’, so travel, landscapes and natural history are high on my list of favourite subject matter.
